The museum is the home of a widely renowned collection of modern international glass art. In addition to this, the museum presents some 6 to 9 special exhibitions every year, portraying the current trends in the world of international glass art. The extension of the museum in 2006 - designed by the architectural firm of 3xNielsen - has created more oppertunities for exhibitions and events, and museum-goers can take in the wonderful waterscape views of the new museum café.

The exciting museum shop offers a wide range of glass design by international and Danish glass artists. In the museum's fully functioning glassworks, visitors can watch glass-blowers create their works of art in the museum.
